Who is Global Glimpse?
Global Glimpse is a leading nonprofit youth travel organization that provides travel, leadership, and global learning opportunities to high school students from diverse backgrounds. Their programs develop empathy, agency, and global perspective, empowering a new generation of young leaders with the skills they need to succeed in college and careers and drive change in their communities.
They bring high school students from different racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and geographic backgrounds together through shared experience and since 2008 they have served over 7,500 students and 550 educators across 100 US high schools and provided over $13M in scholarships to high school students from underrepresented backgrounds.

Programing Model
Global Glimpse is a travel and leadership program that combines pre-trip workshops and weekend summits with immersive international travel. Their innovative model empowers high school students from all backgrounds to build greater empathy, agency, and global perspective. 100% of donor and foundation support goes to fund organizational growth and need-based travel scholarships for students from low-income backgrounds.
Pre-Trip Workshops
Global Glimpse trains teachers to facilitate workshops with their students that develop leadership and global competency. In preparation for their summer travel experience, students participate in these monthly workshops and engage in activities and discussions that prepare them for issues they will experience during their international travel.
International Travel
Global Glimpse international program focuses on service learning, cultural immersion, and leadership development. For 16 days after their junior year in high school, diverse cohorts of approx. 20 high school students are immersed in a developing country, living and learning alongside locals and among peers. Students experience a 360 degree view of a developing country that is constantly tied back to life at home in the US.
Alumni Ambassadors
Global Glimpse provides alumni with a follow-on program that supports them to give back to their schools and communities and prepare for college. Each year over 400 students participate in our Alumni Leadership Summits and collectively contribute over 3,000 volunteer hours to their school and neighborhood communities.
Our foundation is intended to harness these rich global experiences and bring them to students who do not have such access. We believe through opening societal borders and bringing the best of educational programs from around the globe, we can raise awareness to the underexposed and in turn breed a more connected world. - Live Like Leo Founders Letter

Leo Spirit Award
The Leo Spirit Award is an annual award recognizing individual students who exemplify the “Spirit of Leo” during Global Glimpse international travel programs. At the end of the summer the Live Like Leo Foundation select up to five students that exemplified the core values of the Live Like Leo Foundation during their travel abroad program.
