Global experiences are treasures buried deep. Diving into a new language, culture and community presents equal challenge and gain that builds resilience, compassion and humility. 

My decade in Amsterdam as an American now dual-citizen taught me that as humans we vary greatly in communication styles, outlook and drive. We are also capable of change if we are open and curious, like Leo.

The Netherlands ranks high on the world happiness index. While winters are cold and days are short, with simple pleasures each season is celebrated. Spring's magnificent colors are pure joy after the cold period and tulip fields unique to few places in the world.

A global perspective opens a broader spectrum of life and reinforces that as humans, we seek the same at the core. In sharing our unique stories, we connect, grow and thrive.
